As we finish up the Omer and move on from z'man matan torateinu (i.e., Shavuot) and into the summer months, Hazzan Brian has planned something special and fun for our regular Friday night service on June 14, 2019. It's a Bossa Nova Shabbat, featuring Andre Barninka on guitar and psalms set to the tunes of Bossa Nova classics, like The Girl from Ipanema and One Note Samba. Bossa Nova is a cool, jazzy style of popular music from Brazil that was popularized in the 50's and 60's.
