Dear Women of CBI,
As the new President of our Sisterhood, I would like to start off by welcoming each of you to a new and exciting year that will be filled with lots of events for all female congregants of Congregation B'nai Israel. They say you can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives. Well, I am proud to say that if you join CBI Sisterhood, you are getting both. We are a very warm group of women who will offer both friendship and the opportunity to be part of a family.
Our CBI Sisterhood members are women of all ages, from all walks of life. We are homemakers, professionals, businesswomen, and more. We have come to CBI looking for an enriching environment for our children, our families and ourselves. The Sisterhood of CBI is a dynamic group of women who bond together to support our congregation in many ways.
As CBI starts our 20th year, I'd like to revitalize our Sisterhood, get more women involved and become a close-knit community. My goal is for us to get to know each other, have fun, and for all of us to feel a part of the CBI community.
I'd like to invite all of the women of CBI to an Open House at CBI on Sunday, September 13th, from 9:45 until 11:15. Please stop by, complete a membership form, have a bagel and say hello.
If you can't attend the Open House, please complete the membership form attached. Sisterhood Membership Form.pdf
Looking forward to seeing many of you on September 13th.

Our women members are provided with the chance to serve the synagogue while interacting with others who share their interests. From book discussion groups to social outings to holiday cooking courses, Sisterhood has it all. Sisterhood members also operate the temple gift shop offering a large assortment of Judaica, holiday items and gifts, as well as tallitot and kippot for B'nai Mitzvah and weddings.
