Dear Women of CBI,
As the President of CBI's Sisterhood, I would like to welcome each of you to this vital organization, and an exciting year filled with lots of events for all female congregants of Congregation B'nai Israel. They say you can choose your friends but you can't choose your relatives. Well, I am proud to say that if you join CBI Sisterhood, you are getting both--we are a very warm group of women who will offer both friendship and the opportunity to be part of a family.
Sisterhood consists of women of all ages, from all walks of life--homemakers, professionals, businesswomen, and more. We have come to CBI looking for an enriching environment for our children, our families, and ourselves. We are a dynamic group of individuals who bond together to support our congregation in many ways. We have been the proud sponsors and organizers of comedy nights, game nights, Israeli dancing, Zumba fun, and other fundraising and charitable events. Our members come together to share common interests through Book Discussion Clubs and craft groups, or providing to our B'nai Mitzvah families by assisting with the purchases of kippot and tallitot.
I would like to see more women become involved in Sisterhood, and become a part of this smaller community within the larger congregational community. My goal is for us to get to know each other, have fun, and be an integral part of the fabric of CBI.
