Deborah Marcus - Assistant Secretary

Debbie and her husband, Alex, moved to Basking Ridge in 2005, part of Alex’s “rebellion” to move all of twenty minutes west of his childhood home. Debbie grew up in Southern California but has lived on the East Coast since college. They have three children: Zack, 12; Eliana, 9; and Judah, 6. Before having her second child, Debbie used her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Higher Education Administration to work and do research at Yale, Penn, Cleveland State, Syracuse and Kean Universities. Currently a stay-at-home mom, the only field she works on is a soccer field -- playing in an adult women’s team twice a week. She also runs various enrichment programs through the Liberty Corner Elementary School PTO. Debbie is the daughter of a Reform rabbi and a Federation (JFS) social worker, so she was genetically required to be involved in Jewish life. At CBI she is chair of the Religious School committee.
