Our Community
So Many Ways To Get Involved
If there is anything surely amazing about Congregation B'nai Israel, it is that we are One Community. While that is an age old concept, it is, today, an achievement because we come to the Somerset Hills from all walks of life with different obligations and customs. With warm regard for Jewish tradition, we take these building blocks along with our morals, our ethics and ideas, and then we work together as congregants to build one strong community for our future.
At CBI, there are numerous opportunities for our members to become active in our synagogue community--and develop deep and lasting friendships. If congregants have a talent they wish to share or just want to become involved, they are welcome to join or start one of our committees. There are many committees to choose from: Programming, Membership, Ritual, Mens Club, the Intergenerational Choir, Sisterhood, Social Action and Caring, Youth Activities, the Sisterhood Gift Gallery and of course, Fundraising. Through these committees, our members enjoy a unique opportunity to make a difference in the our young and thriving synagogue.
Listed below are our current committees and their associated committee chairs, Please feel free to contact them through the Contact Us facility if you have questions about their committee or would like to join!
